I long for you
today my love
In this dreary dripping city
we'd dip our doused boots
In the rivers running along the
streets and sidewalks
With wet faces we, we'd keep our hands
tucked and warm
And we would walk.
We would saunter this city
Until we sopped of raindrops
and brisk breezes
We would surrender our clothing
to soft blankets and shining fires
but until then
until then,
we'll find the colors that come from the rain.
